Copper-nickel alloy is a fairly popular type of raw material, which is widely used in modern industry and production. The main element of such an alloy is Cu (copper), the main alloying component is nickel.

Peculiarities

For copper-nickel alloy, the price largely depends on the brand of raw materials used for the production. The main varieties are alloys MNMts40-1.5 (copper, nickel, manganese), MNZhMts 30-1-1 (copper, nickel, iron, manganese) or M1.

The first type of alloy is especially appreciated in the electrical industry – compensating wires are made from it. Alloy M1 belongs to the universal group and is used for the production of conductors of various types, as well as standard rolled metal and cryogenic equipment.

Alloys of the MNZhMts 30-1-1 type are characterized by erosion and corrosion resistance. They are used in instrument making, as well as for the manufacture of condenser tubes and tube sheets in climatic equipment.

wire with a cross section from 0.05 to 3 mm;

Properties of Finished Alloys

Flexibility and plasticity;

Resistant to tearing and bending.

Two-component alloys are distinguished by corrosion resistance even under the influence of aggressive environments (sea water and so on). If aluminum and magnesium additives are also present in the composition, in addition to nickel, the alloy will have increased strength.

When manganese is added, the weldability of individual parts of the alloy can be improved. The high hardness of the material allows the use of alloys for the manufacture of elements with the smallest details – this is in demand in the production of jewelry and coins.
