Sheet steel S690QL
Manufactured using sheet rolling, high-strength structural steel of grade S690QL complies with the European standard EN10025-6.
It is alloyed with silicon, manganese, and chromium, which directly influence the material properties. The limited carbon content and its equivalent contribute to the steel’s good weldability.
Special Properties
The presented structural steel grades feature:
- High wear resistance.
- An excellent combination of enhanced strength and significant toughness.
- Good impact toughness, maintaining properties at temperatures as low as -40°C.
EN10025-6 retains all mechanical properties at high temperatures, which can reach up to +400°C.
Areas of Application
Structural alloy steels of grade S690QL are successfully used in the production of components and structures subjected to significant loads, as well as exposure to hard minerals and other abrasive materials. They are used for manufacturing frameworks of various structures, bridge components, elements of heavy construction and mining equipment, crane equipment, drilling rigs, and wind power stations.
