Stainless steel 15-7PH / EN 1.4532
Alloy 15-7PH belongs to low-carbon chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels. Alloying is carried out by adding silicon, aluminum, manganese and molybdenum additives to the composition, which contributes to exceptional strength in the widest temperature range.
Features of the alloy
The price of 15-7PH stainless steel is tied to the technological features of production used by the manufacturer and the form of rolled metal.
Rolled metal can be subjected to turning, milling and grinding. Heat treatment involves normalization, hardening, at temperatures from 1120 to 1180 degrees, annealing and tempering. At the same time, intensive scale formation begins at 1100 degrees.
Applications
Acceptable cost of stainless steel 1.4532, and unique properties, make its highly demanded, in the production of elements from which high strength is required. This may apply to welded tanks, combustion chambers, pipelines and fittings for them, welded structures designed to operate in aggressive environments, various equipment for the oil and gas industry.
