Stainless steel 254SMO / EN 1.4547
Nickel alloy 254SMO / 1.4547 is a super austenitic molybdenum alloy stainless steel that is highly resistant to corrosion. According to this indicator, nickel alloys are significantly superior to ordinary stainless steels.
Special properties
Steel 254SMO / 1.4547 successfully resists crevice and pitting corrosion, halides in an acidic environment, resistant to chlorides and concentrated acids. The dynamic sales of stainless steel of this grade are also explained by good weldability, ease of forming and lack of magnetic properties. The maximum temperature of use is 400 degrees.
Applications
Given the unique properties of the alloy, which performs well in the most difficult conditions, buy sheet stainless steel, or pipes, can be used in welded structures, pipelines, heat exchangers operating in salt water, for example, on desalination plants or offshore platforms. It is also used for the manufacture of equipment for the pulp and paper and oil and gas industries, the chemical industry, flue gas cleaning, containers for the storage and production of aggressive liquids.
