UPE Channel
UPE channel steel is a shaped steel supplied in strict accordance with the European standard DIN 1026-1, with maximum tolerances in accordance with EN 10279.
The product has a U-shaped profile, with parallel shelves, without a slope of the inner edges. Channel dimensions comply with established standards. At the same time, products are produced in multiple sizes.
Special characteristics
A steel channel is made by cold extrusion of a profile from a blank, without preheating. The workpiece is made in the form of a strip made of low-cost carbon steel grades. In some cases, manganese may be added to the steel to improve strength, resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and resistance to significant temperature changes. UPE channels can be successfully operated at temperatures up to -60 degrees.
Applications
Affordable cost, high performance and a wide range of UPE channels contribute to their considerable demand. Products are successfully used in civil and industrial construction, as well as in mechanical engineering.
