OT4 Titan
Titanium alloy OT4 is a pseudo-alpha alloy. The proportion of titanium in the alloy can reach from 91.83 to 95.4%. In addition, the properties of the material are affected by aluminum, with a content of 3.5 to 5%, and manganese, which accounts for 0.8 to 2%.
Special properties
The alloy is classified as a medium strength material. Due to the greater proportion of aluminum, titanium tubes, sheets and other semi-finished products from OT4 will be somewhat stronger than products, for example, from OT-4-1, but will be inferior in plasticity and manufacturability.
The material is well deformed, in a hot or limited cold state . The form of delivery can be titanium foil, sheet, plate, profile, pipe, rod. Sheet metal stamping is carried out in a cold state.
electron beam welding.
The material is not thermally strengthened. Only full and partial annealing is possible.
For profile, OT4 alloy, bars or sheet titanium the price is relatively moderate compared to other titanium alloys.
Applications
OT4 alloy has good thermal stability. Therefore, it is used in the manufacture of products capable of operating at temperatures up to 350 degrees for 2000 hours, and at 300 degrees – up to 30,000 hours.
