Titan GRADE 2 / VT 1-0
Unalloyed GRADE 2 / VT 1-0 contains up to 92.2% titanium. The pipe or titanium sheet, in the form of impurities, also contains oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, iron, silicon.
Special properties
The material is not very durable. Its main advantage is excellent technological plasticity, including cold deformation. This makes it possible to manufacture even foil from the alloy. Also, GRADE 2 titanium alloy is supplied in the form of castings, pipes, tubes, plates, sheets, strips, bars.
In addition, the material is characterized by high impact strength and excellent weldability .
The strength of the alloy can be increased by work hardening. However, at the same time, its ductility decreases, moreover, more significantly than the increase in strength.
The price for a sheet or titanium bar is quite consistent with its operational properties .
Applications
Alloy VT 1-0 is used in the production of heat exchangers, elements of window frames and desalination plants, for cladding of various elements , including medical ones. The high fire resistance of the material is often used in dentistry, where it is used to make dental casts.
