Stainless steel tube conforming to ASTM A 213 standard specification for high temperature seamless cold drawn or hot rolled products manufactured from austenitic or ferritic steels. It stands out for its resistance to corrosion manifestations and significant resistance to significant pressure indicators when working at high temperatures.
Main characteristics
Stainless steel pipe, manufactured in accordance with ASTM A 213, is produced with an outer diameter of 3.2 to 406 millimeters, with a wall thickness of 0.4 to 12.7 millimeters.
Deviations in wall thickness are allowed for hot-rolled products from -12.5 to +20%, and for cold-drawn products – from -10 to +10%.
It is characterized by the following mechanical properties:
– minimum tensile strength of 415 megapascals;
– minimum strength according to Brinell 163 HB;
– minimum yield strength of 205 megapascals.
Areas of use
Considering all its performance characteristics, a stainless steel pipe produced according to the current ASTM A 213 standard can be bought for:
– boiler pipelines;
– chimneys;
– superheaters;
– heat exchangers.
