Stainless steel AISI 440C / EN 1.4125 / 95X18
AISI 440c steel is one of the most popular and demanded grades of stainless steel. It is distinguished by the highest level of resistance to corrosion and the highest hardness index, which is equal to 58-60 units on the Rowwell scale. The low cost of steel of this grade is no less attractive.
Key features
Aisi 440c is classified as high-alloyed, since it contains more than 10% of alloying components. Stainless steel contains 0.95-1.2% carbon, which primarily provides hardness. In addition, chromium, manganese and molybdenum are added to improve hardenability, hardness, wear and corrosion resistance.
Applications
Buy AISI 440c can be used for the manufacture of parts that require significant hardness, wear resistance, resistance to moderate aggressive environments and temperatures up to 500 degrees. For example, AISI 440c / EN 1.4125 / 95X18 stainless steel is used in the production of bushings, rods, rolling bearings, and cutting tools. At the same time, given how much stainless steel costs, the range of its use is constantly expanding.
