Steel round bar made of stainless steel 1.4105 (X6CrMoS17 / AISI 430F)
General technical characteristics
Stainless steel 1.4105 (European equivalent X6CrMoS17, American standard AISI 430F) is a ferritic corrosion-resistant steel with improved machinability. Due to the addition of sulfur, this grade is classified as free-machining steel, providing excellent machinability while maintaining high corrosion resistance.
Chemical composition of steel 1.4105 (X6CrMoS17 / AISI 430F):
- Carbon (C): ≤ 0.12%
- Chromium (Cr): 16.0-18.0%
- Molybdenum (Mo): 0.20-0.60%
- Sulfur (S): 0.15-0.35%
- Silicon (Si): ≤ 1.00%
- Manganese (Mn): ≤ 1.25%
- Phosphorus (P): ≤ 0.040%
- Iron (Fe): remainder
