Steel sheet S 235 JR+N DIN EN 10025-2
Sheet steel, grade S 235 JR+N, produced in accordance with European standard 10025-2, is a low-carbon structural steel supplied after normalizing rolling (+N). It is one of the most common structural steels.
Basic properties
Sheet steel S 235 JR+N is characterized by:
– minimum yield strength 235 megapascals, at ambient temperature;
– shatter resistance, with an impact force limit of 27 joules, at a temperature of +20 degrees;
– density of 7.86 grams per cubic centimeter;
– good weldability. It can be welded without heating and does not require subsequent heat treatment.
Due to the low carbon content, sheet metal of this grade has good profile bending characteristics, which significantly expand its range of use.
  ; Applications
Steel sheets are produced in lengths from 3000 to 27000 millimeters, widths from 1500 to 4020 millimeters and thicknesses from 8 to 300 millimeters, for subsequent processing into shapes or sections.
Steel sheets S 235 JR+N are used for the manufacture of tees and I-beams, angles, channels and so on.
