Nimonic 901 / 2.4662
Nimonic 901 is an austenitic heat resistant steel with a high nickel content. It is alloyed with chromium, titanium, aluminum, molybdenum and other metals.
The alloy is highly resistant to corrosion, scaling, and significant temperatures.
Special properties of steel
The main properties that affect the performance of Nimonic 901 heat-resistant steel can be considered:
– Ability to work at temperatures up to 600 degrees.
– Resistance to oxidizing media.
– Possibility of welding, by means of gas welding.
– The ability to harden, during heat treatment, in the range from 1121 to 871 degrees.
Heat-resistant steel is satisfactorily amenable to pressure heat treatment .
