Nilo K – Kovar / EN 1.3981 / 29NK
Precision grade NILO alloy K (UNS K94610) has a complex ferritic-nickel composition with cobalt additions (stainless steel KOVAR). The composition also contains minor inclusions of molybdenum, silicon, manganese, carbon, chromium, copper and aluminum.
An alloy of this type has a narrow specific scope. Its temperature coefficient of linear expansion corresponds to borosilicate glass, which is used for the production of lamp bulbs.
