Stainless steel alloy INCOLOY 926 / EN 1.4529
Stainless steel based on Incoloy 926 alloy is quite popular and in demand in the domestic industry. This alloy is considered one of the best in terms of strength, wear resistance and resistance to corrosion of all types (surface, crevice, pitting).
The increased content of molybdenum guarantees the preservation of technical parameters and characteristics in the widest temperature range . Chromium guarantees resistance to corrosion and aggressive environments (acid-base compounds).
Additional alloying with aluminum helps to ensure the ductility of steel, which is analogous to AISI 904L.
Application
Nickel alloy INCOLOY 926 is characterized by increased resistance to any aggressive environment, which predetermined its scope. The excellent corrosion resistance of steel makes it possible to use it in shipbuilding (the alloy is neutral and does not interact with sea water).
In addition, these alloys are used in the construction of offshore structures (offshore drilling rigs), as well as in the pulp and paper industry. The chemical industry uses the alloy to synthesize various chemicals. It is also in demand for the manufacture of tanks for the needs of the food and medical industries, for the construction of pipelines, the manufacture of heat exchangers, and so on.
