Steel 40KHNM is a precision alloy with specified elasticity parameters. The basis of the material is cobalt, the proportion of which can reach 42%. Iron, manganese, phosphorus, silicon, carbon, nickel, sulfur and molybdenum also determine the chemical and mechanical properties of steel.

40KKHNM stainless steel rolled metal is distinguished by its verified chemical composition, without harmful impurities, which ensures the invariance of the characteristics regulated by the standards, including the accuracy of the geometric shape and dimensions of blanks and finished products.

Precision products from 40KKHNM alloy have elasticity, at the level of 196000 MN/m², and tensile strength up to 260 MN/m². The material is non-magnetic, deformation-hardening, stands out for its high resistance to corrosion manifestations even in a particularly humid environment.

Applications

Stainless steel grade 40KHNM is used to manufacture clock springs, coiled coil springs capable of operating at temperatures up to +400 degrees, cores of measuring instruments , surgical products, including implantable elements.
