Welded pipes EN 10219-1/2, structural, of non-alloy and fine grain steels
Weldable steel pipes are produced according to existing European standards, for products with a round section, as well as profile products with a rectangular, round or elliptical section.
Special properties
The production of welded pipes involves the use of unalloyed or alloyed steels, which determine the properties of the product. Profiles are formed either hot, without further heat treatment, or cold, followed by heat treatment to match the characteristics of the thermoformed products.
During the manufacturing process, conventional electric welding is used, as well as, in some cases, submerged arc welding.
The chemical composition of the product determines the strength and durability of the pipe.
The price per meter for electric-welded steel pipes depends on the type of profile and the performance properties of the products.
Applications
Round pipes are mainly used to form various pipelines. But, as well as profile models, they are used in the construction of various building structures, which are lightweight, with very significant rigidity and resistance to serious loads. And the affordable price for a welded pipe fully contributes to this. In many cases, profile pipes successfully compete with traditional tees, I-beams and channels.
