Wear-resistant steel Hartplast 400, 500

Hartplast wear-resistant sheet steel grades 400 and 500 are designed for the manufacture of elements operating in extremely extreme conditions, while allowing, at the same time, to significantly reduce their weight and extend the service life.

Hartplast belongs to the group of low-carbon alloys containing up to 0.19% carbon, up to 1.6% manganese, up to 0.5% silicon, up to 1% chromium, up to 0.4% molybdenum.

Special Properties

Hartplast grades 400 and 500 hard-to-break steel has high impact strength and impressive hardness, spreading throughout alloy thickness. This contributes to good wear resistance, including when exposed to abrasives.

Steel can be machined by any conventional method, including threading , milling and turning, drilling. Cold and thermal cutting of metal is possible, as well as manual and automatic welding.

Applications

Metal is sold in a wide range of sizes. It is successfully used in the production of dump truck and garbage truck bodies, cutting and grinding equipment, various containers, excavator buckets.
