S355JR Unalloyed Steel Sheet
Carbon steel sheet, grades S355JR, complies with European standard EN10025-2. It is the most common type of structural steel that does not stand out with special properties. It has a high content of carbon, manganese and copper, which largely determines its properties.
Special properties
Steel EN10025-2 High hardness, resistance to significant mechanical stress and high temperatures, strength and durability. Indicators of the strength of the material increase, with an increase in the proportion of carbon in the composition. True, at the same time, weldability deteriorates, since this is fraught with the formation of hot cracks on the seam. In the normal state, carbon heat-resistant steels are easily welded using wire and large cross-section electrodes, as well as consumable mouthpieces.
