Electrical steel 2413 / M290-50A
Thin-sheet cold-rolled electrical steel, grade 2413, is made of an isotropic sulfur alloy, with an unregulated chemical composition. The smelting order and chemical composition are determined by the manufacturer.
The basis of the alloy is iron, with a share of up to 96%. The magnetic properties of the material are affected by silicon, which can be from 2.8 to 3.8%.
Special properties
Cold-rolled sheet is produced in a heat-treated state for magnetic characteristics and is endowed with a heat-resistant coating that does not impair stamping.
A high proportion of silicon in the composition provides a significant level of relative magnetic permeability in a weak and medium field, reducing losses on eddy currents, increase in electrical resistivity, up to 0.5-109 Ohm/m and decrease in alloy density to 7600 kg/m3.
The isotropic 2413 alloy has a non-oriented grain structure, which is characterized by independence of the direction of magnetic characteristics.
Applications
You can buy sheet metal, grade 2413, for the manufacture of components for magnetic circuits of electric machines, various devices and other electrical equipment.
