Carpenter L-605 is a wrought cobalt-chromium-tungsten-nickel superalloy designed for extreme service conditions requiring:

Yield Strength (0.2% offset): 450-600 MPa
Elongation: 30-50%
Hardness: 200-250 HB
High-Temperature Performance:
Operating range: -425°F to 2100°F (-254°C to 1149°C)
Retains 90% of RT strength at 1000°F (538°C)
Excellent creep resistance

Density: 9.13 g/cm³
Melting Range: 2410-2490°F (1320-1365°C)
Thermal Conductivity: 9.1 W/m·K (at 212°F)

Corrosion Resistance:
Outstanding oxidation resistance to 2000°F (1093°C)
Resists sulfidizing environments
Good carburization resistance
Fabrication:
Excellent cold forming characteristics
Good machinability (70% relative to 1112 steel)
