Aluminum alloy EN AW 5083 / AMG5

A-Sintez offers an aluminum-based alloy EN AW 5083 at an affordable price, which is the closest alternative to the material marked AMG5. This AW 5083 grade contains manganese additives (in the range of 4.4-4.6%), which brings it closer in terms of operational parameters to the grades of AMG5 alloys.
At the same time, the advantage of this particular grade of alloy is better ductility, as well as simpler and easier weldability, which allows create rather complex structural elements on its basis. The more affordable cost can also be considered an advantage.
Features
It has long been known that the strength of aluminum is quite high, which allows products based on it to be used as widely as possible. The tensile strength of aluminum depends on the brand of alloys, and the aluminum alloy EN AW 5083 / AMG5 has practically no competitors in this regard.
It is quite light (specific gravity does not exceed 2.7 g/cm3) and resistant to deformation, due to the presence of alloying magnesium, manganese, zinc, copper additives. We note the highest corrosion resistance and low production costs, as well as the simplicity and ease of processing.
Application
Aluminum products based on this alloy are used in the manufacture of aircraft, automobiles, marine yachts and ships, machinery and equipment. They are in demand in construction, advertising production, architecture, residential and industrial construction of buildings and structures.
