Stainless Steel 1.4113 / AISI 434
General Technical Characteristics
Stainless steel 1.4113 / AISI 434 is a ferritic corrosion-resistant steel with increased chromium content and added molybdenum. Compared to conventional ferritic steels such as AISI 430, this grade offers improved corrosion resistance, especially in environments containing chlorides.
AISI 434 steel has good oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures, as well as stable mechanical properties. The absence of nickel makes stainless steel 1.4113 a cost-effective alternative to austenitic steels for a range of applications.
The material has good formability and can be used in various manufacturing processes, including cold working.
Applications
Stainless steel 1.4113 / AISI 434 is widely used in various industries:
- automotive industry (decorative and exhaust systems)
- household appliance manufacturing
- architectural and construction elements
- heat exchange equipment
- kitchen equipment and utensils
- components of ventilation and heating systems
Thanks to its enhanced corrosion resistance, AISI 434 is suitable for use in conditions with exposure to moisture and aggressive environmental factors.
Features and Advantages
Key advantages of stainless steel 1.4113:
- increased corrosion resistance due to molybdenum
- oxidation resistance at high temperatures
- nickel-free — more cost-effective
- good formability
- stable performance characteristics
- resistance to atmospheric exposure
These properties make AISI 434 an excellent choice for a wide range of industrial and domestic applications.
